Mandeep Saini

Vice President

Dr. Mandeep S Saini graduated from the University of Liverpool (UK) Medical School. After completing 4 years of general psychiatry training, during which time he became a member of the Royal College of Psychiatrists (UK), he completed successfully completed three and a half years of higher specialist training in forensic psychiatry in the UK. He moved to British Columbia in 2007, to work for FPSC, and has worked at the Forensic Psychiatric Hospital and/or the Regional Forensic Clinics since this time.  Since fall 2020, Dr. Saini has held the position of Forensic Subspeciality Representative on the board of the BC Psychiatric Association.

Deanne Breitman

President

After completing a BSc at McGill University, Dr. Breitman attended the University of Alberta where she completed Medical School and Psychiatry training. In 2006 she moved to British Columbia, where she became an active staff member at the Forensic Psychiatric Hospital and the Royal Jubilee Hospital in Victoria. Dr. Breitman is currently a consulting forensic psychiatrist at the Victoria Regional Forensic Psychiatric Clinic, the Vancouver Island Correctional Centre, and Correctional Services Canada (Victoria Parole Office). Outside of work, Dr. Breitman enjoys spending time with family and planning for the next adventure to a far off destination.

Witold Widajewicz

Interim Treasurer

Dr. Witold Widajewicz graduated from Medical Academy of Wroclaw, Poland in 1984. In 1991 he completed a Master of Neuroscience degree at Universite de Montreal before entering psychiatry training at University of Manitoba. In 1997 he became a Fellow of the Royal College of Physicians and Surgeons and qualified as a Diplomate of American Board of Psychiatry and Neurology (USA) in 1998. He joined FPSC psychiatrists group in 2001 and got certified as a Forensic Psychiatrist in 2013. Since 2001 he has also provided outreach psychiatric services to Mental Health team and Cariboo Hospital (CL) as well as correctional psychiatry service to FRCC between 2015-20. Dr. Widajewicz served as the President of Forensic Psychiatrists Engagement Society from 2020-2021 and remains an executive member.

Stacy Mulcahy

Society Administrator

Stacy Mulcahy is a Project Manager that has been supporting multiple sites with their Engagement Initiative since 2016. At this time, she is supporting the Concurrent Disorder Physician Engagement Association, the Forensic Physician Engagement Society, the BCMHSUS Regional Table, and the Ridge Meadows Hospital Physician Engagement Society. Danielle Elder

Administrative Assistant

Danielle Elder is our Administrative Assistant with the Forensic Physician Engagement Society. Danielle directly supports the Stacy with additional administrative duties and organization. Danielle comes to us with extensive experience in the non-profit field working with physicians and mental health care professionals, and has done work through the Local Action Team for the Child and Youth Mental Health and Substance Use Collaborative. Danielle was an integral part of the creation of a Youth Wellness Centre and Foundry in her local community, Maple Ridge.
